An Israeli couple was killed in their home during the ongoing deadly Hamas attack by land, air, and water. The couple, Itay and Hadar Berdichevsky died while fighting to protect their home. They successfully managed to save their 10-month-old twin babies by hiding them in a hidden shelter.
The young couple, both in their 30s, had barely a few seconds to react when they heard the gunmen trying to break open their front door. The parents bundled their babies into a hidden shelter moments before the hams stormed into their home.
Israeli Couple Die After Saving Their Babies
The couple bravely fought the gunmen until the last moment before being killed during the assault on Israel, which has claimed the lives of more than 1,300 people.
The couple’s twin babies were thankfully saved by emergency services, almost 14 hours after the couple's death. Israel’s embassy on X wrote that all their thoughts were with the loved ones of this broken family, adding that Israel will honour their memory and take the necessary action to neutralise the terrorist threat and protect its citizens. The official handle also shared a picture of the beautiful family that is now broken.
The heartbreaking story of Itay and Hadar is one of the many tragic stories from Israel after a large-scale assault escalated in the Middle East region on October 7.
Woman Kills Five Hamas Terrorists
In another incident, a 25-year-old Israeli woman saved an entire kibbutz from the Hamas terrorists by killing more than two dozen terrorists.
Inbar Lieberman, the security coordinator of Kibbutz Nir Am since December 2022, heard an explosion in the early hours of October 7 when terrorists launched their attack.
She immediately rushed to open the armoury, distributed guns to the 12-member security team and coordinated their response amidst the unfolding attack. She killed five terrorists while the others gunned down 20 others over four hours as they converted Nir Am into an impenetrable fortress and prevented casualties at the Kibbutz.
