An exclusive entry-only 'Secret Tel Aviv' Facebook group shared a video where three men under the guise of security standing near the accused stand posts. Their role was to prohibit any female pedestrians from passing.

The accused behind the incident have not yet been brought to justice as their identity is not known.

Several Israeli Netizens took to their social media handles to express their concern regarding the incident.

One of the users warned that this is what happened when citizens did not wake up and added that it always begins with a loss of money and rights.

Another user expressed their sarcasm at Israel being called a democracy.

Yet another user claimed that the incident in all probability could be a demonstration by left-wing activists. This user came up with an interesting theory. They purported that the left-wing activists disguised themselves as Municipality security guards of Tel Aviv and directed the traffic with a 'dark gender separation' in mind. They further added that the accused speak in English to scare the tourists.

The Handmaid's Tale Protest Against 'No Entry For Women'

Earlier on Saturday activists protested the passing of a judicial reform bill in the Knesset. The protesters were dressed as characters from the Handmaid's Tale. These demonstrations spread across Jerusalem, Kfar Saba, Kiryat Ono, Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Ra'anana.

The protest was based on the book written by Margaret Atwood and the show by the name. The protest was meant to warn observers of Israel's transformation from a democracy to a theocracy that dismisses women's rights.

The protest draws parallels between Israel's far-right coalition government and the show's bleak reality for women.

Building an Alternative's spokesperson Hadas Regulski stated that the agenda of Israel's current coalition government was to harm women. Several women have volunteered because they sensed that their lives and rights were in danger.
