As the Israel-Gaza conflict continues to escalate each day, a miracle took place in the warzone as a pregnant Palestinian woman clamped down under the debris of her house after the air strikes successfully gave birth to a healthy baby girl.
The pregnant woman sustained multiple fractures and when rescued was suffering from abdominal bleeding. As she was rushed to a hospital in Southern Gaza, doctors immediately performed a C-section on the lady to rescue the baby and successfully managed to deliver a "healthy" baby.
Israel-Hamas War: Woman Rescued From Debris Gives Birth To Baby Girl:
As the Israeli-Hamas war persists, marking the 19th day of the Gaza Strip under the siege, the war-prone area experienced a golden miracle when a woman gave birth to a baby girl amidst the life-threatening challenging situations.
A 30-year-old Palestinian woman named Navine Abu Owdah was rescued from under the debris of her residence in the small enclave of Gaza Strip hit by the Israeli reiterated air strike after the Hamas rocket fire attack on October 7.
As per the Metro News, the woman was pregnant and sustained multiple fractures and she was found to be experiencing abdominal bleeding once rescued.
The injured pregnant woman was rushed to the Khan Younis hospital in southern Gaza where thousands of Palestinians fled as the Israeli forces ordered them to evacuate North. The woman was rushed into the emergency department where an immediate caesarean section was performed through which doctors managed to help the woman deliver a "healthy" girl child.
Head surgeon of Naseer Hospital, Dr Salim Saquer said that the newborn is in good condition however the mother is kept under observation and is undergoing treatment for the surgeries she sustained after surviving the warzone.
Shortage Of Essential Resources:
United Nations have issued a statement that highlighted how the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has caused a severe shortage of essential services like water, fuel, and food causing a great crisis in Gaza which is particularly affecting elderly people, children, and especially pregnant women and women who have recently given birth.
UNFPA Estimated Pregnant Individuals And Birth Under-Due In Gaza And Western Bank:
United Nations Population Fund (UNPFA) estimated that 50,000 individuals are pregnant with about 160 giving birth every day in the Gaza Strip and 73,000 people are pregnant in the West Bank with more than 8000 about to give birth within the next month.
Experts opine that pregnant women and new mothers are facing life-threatening challenges amidst the ongoing war to access necessities such as safe care putting forth the health of their babies and taking care of their health.
