Jharkhand-Based Actor Isha Alya Was Allegedly Shot Dead In West Bengal

Isha Alya was allegedly shot dead on Wednesday morning in West Bengal's Howrah district. While she was trying to resist the robbery attempt on them by some local miscreants. A police complaint is filed by her husband Prakash Kumar after the incident.

Riya Kumari aka Isha Alya is said to be a Jharkhand-based actor who could be seen in some regional movies such as Khortha, and in several regional music albums from Jharkhand as well. While her husband Prakash Kumar is said to be a local film and album producer.

Isha Alya Was Shot Dead While Resisting Robbery

The murder took place on National Highway 16 in the Howrah district while the actress was travelling to Kolkata from Ranchi with her husband Prakash Kumar and a 3-year-old daughter. As per the complaint filed with the police by Kumar, they stopped at a desolate place at around 6 am, where the actor's husband was attacked by 3 snatchers who were trying to snatch his wallet. According to the reports, as soon as Alya saw that happening she came out of the car and tried to resist the attack on them to rescue her husband and ended up getting shot by one of the armed snatchers who fled from the spot with the other snatchers right after shooting her. As per Kumar, he drove nearly 3 kilometres in search of some aid for his injured wife and ended up receiving help from some locals in Kulgachia-Pirtala, who took the injured Isha to the SCC medical college where she was announced dead by the doctors.

Police Department Not Settled With Husband's Words

The police have started the investigation for the incident in which CCTV footage from a factory which is nearby the crime scene is being gathered. According to the news agency IANS, the police is not completely believing what information Prakash Kumar who described himself as a director and producer, spoke about how the incident took place. As the series of incidents described by him, it is full of improbable coincidences, therefore Kumar is also questioned by the police and was taken back to the crime scene to reconstruct the series of events that happened on Wednesday morning. As per the reports, the police department believes Kumar might be telling the truth, but chances of some foul play are possible as well.

A lot of questions such as why would someone stop his car at such a secluded point when they are with their family. Or was their car already being chased by the snatchers about which Isha and Prakash had no clue, are arising regarding the case. The case is undergoing investigation by the police currently and the confirmation of the reason of death is yet to be confirmed by the officials.
