India's ace female tennis player, Sania Mirza is ready to wear another hat. The star player has reportedly confirmed that she is gearing up for a biopic on her own life, inspired by her autobiography, Aces Against Odds, which was published last year, reported Roznama Dunya on Tuesday.
"There are some talks going on, but there's nothing concrete right now. I'm a private person, so it is a difficult task of me to open up completely," the 30-year-old shared in an interview with Al Jazeera,
A source, on the other hand, said that Sania, these days, is on the verge of discussing the project with a few Bollywood directors and producers. But nothing’s been confirmed by the player.

We wouldn’t be surprised if the 41-time WTA doubles champion’s story makes it to the multiplexes as her achievements and the incredible story are certainly one that need to be shared. India was a cricket-dominated nation till Sania’s breakthrough entry in the tennis world. She still feels that the amount of recognition cricket players get in the country, very small number cheers on for other sport.
According to Sania, who now hopes to make a return to the top of the WTA doubles rankings, after losing it at the start of 2017, that if India lauds other champions in other sports as they do for cricketers, the sports scenario will hit a new high. The face that defines India’s tennis fraternity thinks it is impossible to make Bollywood film on each player’s life whereas it’s a great medium to show such stories.

If a biopic on Sania’s life is ever made, that’d surely be on my must-watch list!
