Doctors harvested half of a woman's horseshoe-shaped kidney and transplanted it in her husband, a patient with end-stage kidney disease.

The doctors revealed the surgery was more complicated than a regular kidney transplant due to the donor's horseshoe-shaped kidney.

The couple is doing well and recovering from the transplant.
