A post detailing how a woman’s dating profile attracted the attention of an investor was shared on X (formerly Twitter). Eepsita Gupta posted on the microblogging platform that she matched with a person who proposed a way to monetize her profile. She shared a screenshot of the conversation.
Gupta, a resident of Bengaluru, wrote, "Ya girl is being offered carry because of her bumble reach. If this isn’t @peakbengaluru, I really don’t know what is.” The screenshot of the conversation read, “You know you should monetize your Bumble profile. If you get that many impressions on it.”

Surprised by the unusual text on a dating app, Gupta replied, "Haha, what?” The person on the other side said that she should hear his proposal and went on to explain further. “You add a line plugging my fund and telling founders to reach out to me if they're raising. If I end up investing in any of them, I'll give you a percentage of the carry of those companies,” he wrote.
In response, Gupta laughed and sent "hahaha,” to which the man replied, “I’m kind of serious, haha, lol.”
