1. Shivrani
A young girl named Shivrani made headlines recently for rescuing two passengers by jumping into a river and saving them from drowning. The passengers were travelling in a bus in Sidhi in Madhya Pradesh when it met with an accident and fell into a river. The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh praised Shivrani for her brave act. 2. Sandhya
She is a student of class 11 from Gorakhpur’s Bahrampur region who used to row her boat 800 metres in Rapti river daily to reach her school from her house in Bahrampur area of the district. 3. Vanisha Pathak
She lost both her parents during the second wave of coronavirus in India. Despite the loss, she became one of Bhopal’s CBSE Class X toppers this year. She scored perfect 100 in three subjects - English, Sanskrit and Science. She scored 97 in Maths. 4. Maitri Patel
19-year-old Maitri Patel from Surat scripted history last month. She became India’s youngest commercial pilot. In an interview, she said that she had been nurturing the dream of becoming a pilot since childhood. "After completing class 12th with science, I went to America for training. 5. Pollabi Debroy
The girl hailing from Karimganj district in Assam was in news for her art of recycling products which she used to make a six feet idol of Durga recently. 6. Banashankari
A 15-year-old girl named Banashankari used to attend her online classes on a phone as she didn't have any laptop. She would also sell flowers at the Adishakti temple in Bengaluru while attending the classes. Bihar-based Tanu Kumari lost both her hands in an accident seven years ago but she has started learning how to write using her toes. The class X girl is fond of participating in sports and painting activities. She has also won many prizes in painting competitions organised for specially-abled children.
