Well-known Instagram influencer and model Miss Mercedes Morr has reportedly died in Texas in a case of suspected murder-suicide. She was 33 years old. The man accused of killing her was found dead alongside her at her apartment.
The death of Jenae Gagnier, the woman famous across social media by her username 'Miss Mercedes Morr', has left her two-million-strong Instagram community of followers in shock. Her photos are amassing condolence messages from fans and industry colleagues alike.
Reports by NBC in Houston quoted the medical examiner's office saying Gagnier died of "strangulation and traumatic concussion."
Gagnier and the male suspect, Kevin Alexander Accorto of Florida, were found dead at the former's home in Cortland Apartments on Sunday around 4:30 PM, as per local reports. Accorto's death was ruled a suicide.

Police investigating the case reportedly said there were neither signs of forced entry into Gagnier's apartment nor an indication that the deceased duo shared a relationship. They told The New York Post in a statement, "...it is not believed that there was a relationship between the suspect and the victim."
A probe is ongoing to determine the motive behind the attack.
Gagnier's sister, in an Instagram post made Monday, wrote, "My heart is gone... My soul is gone... Me & mom talked to you on Thursday to check on you & per usual, you were having an amazing time..." She shared a picture of herself and Gagnier at the beach.
"She wasn’t robbed. It was just a stalker from outta state who’d BEEN stalking her," she added.
Of late, a spate of influencer deaths has left online fan communities in grief. In July this year, TikTok star Anthony Bajaras and his female friend, both teens, were killed in an unprovoked shooting at a cinema hall in California. Earlier the same month, fans had mourned the death of famous TikToker Swavy, who was shot in Delaware. More influencer deaths here.
