The 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria unleashed a catastrophe with a death toll crossing 20,000. India sent its rescue and medical teams, including an Army medical team and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF).

NDRF personnel successfully pulled out a 6-year-old girl who was stuck inside the debris for over three days in Gaziantep's Nurdagi city.

The girl was shifted to 16 Parafield hospital of the Indian Army in Turkey.
