It’s astonishing to see how much the Indian women’s cricket team has grown its quality. The squad on Wednesday won over West Indies by 15 runs in the third ODI to complete a 3-0 series whitewash.
The Indian women scored 199 runs for six wickets. It wasn’t a very smooth start for the Indian team and they couldn't score big, but the West Indies women couldn’t even cross that target and went home with a score of 184 in 49.1 overs.

Veda Krishnamurthy was the superstar of the evening as she hit a strokeful fifty before left-arm spinner Rajeshwari Gayakwad returned with impressive figures of 4-34. At the end, the scores are Krishnamurthy with 71 runs and Harmanpreet Kaur with 19 runs and a special mention of debutant Devika Vaidya who remained unbeaten on 32 off 45 balls, while senior Jhulan Goswami made a 16-ball 18. Opener Deepti Sharma also contributed to the win by adding 23 runs to the score.

The West Indies team could not chase the target and lost the 3-match series to Indians.

The series is part of the ICC women's championship and the 3-0 series whitewash has earned the Indian women two points.
