The women’s cricket team from India gave a stellar performance on the field as they swept away victory from Australia by five wickets in the opening match of the Twenty20 International. This opening match of the three-match series was played in Adelaide, Australia yesterday.
Our Indian team captain, Mithali Raj, won the toss in the beginning of the match and chose to bowl. They did an amazing job at bowling as the Australian team could only score 141 run in 18.4 overs before heading back to the pavilion. Raj’s decision proved right as the win was possible because of great bowling by the team and wicket-catching skills.
