Thousands of Indian students in distress are seeking help from the Embassy of India in Ukraine, Pleas have been made to bring them back home safely. As the war continues, the Indian government has organised special flights to evacuate them safely and carried out missions like Operation Ganga to provide those stuck, with food and water.

- Amid the Russian invasion of Ukraine, lives of many Indian students living in the country changed. Indians who had gone to pursue their education were now stuck in a country, oblivious of what the next hour holds. Soon videos of Indian citizens started surfacing on the internet stuck in bunkers, without food and water. urging the Embassy of India in Ukraine and the Indian government to take necessary measures to ensure their safety. - As the war continued with full force, Indian students desperately tried to flee the country several videos of the war brutality emerged from Romanian borders where Indian students especially women trying to flee Ukraine were beaten up soldiers. - The full-fledged desperate efforts to flee Ukraine have failed several Indian medical students who claimed that they were being harassed at the Poland border. Videos show that the students were held hostage without food, shelter, and water and were denied safe passage by the Ukrainian border guards. Students in such a harrowing situation claim in the turn of events even the Ukrainian army has turned hostile against them. - Even as the Indian govt evacuated many Indians, thousands of students are still stranded in the war-torn regions in Ukraine. With Ukraine’s airspace closed, many Indians were taken across the border into Romania and Hungary, but students are stuck in regions far away from the escape routes and are at fatal risks with a bomb blast every 5 minutes. - As the country continues to mourn the death of one of its own in Ukraine, a student who was shot dead in a train station in Kharkiv, thousands of Indian students are still holed up in basements and bunkers in several cities. Videos show a group of more than 300 students seeking help from Mykolaiv, southern Ukraine. These are students of Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University, who have been stuck in the basement without food and water.
