India's women's hockey team won International Hockey Federation (FIH) Nations Cup 2022 by beating Spain in the final match with a score of 1-0. The team landed back in India on Monday and celebrated their victory with a celebratory dance.

India's women's hockey team is bagging titles around the world. After giving a commendable performance at Tokyo Olympics, the team went on to win bronze medal in Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022 as well as Asia Cup 2022. The team also scored third position in Pro League 2021-22 and ending the year 2022 with a winning note, the team bagged the trophy of FIH Nations Cup 2022.

India Wins Women's FIH Nations Cup, Team Dances To Celebrate

In the viral video, the team members can be seen entering Delhi airport on December 19 with their baggage and medals. The team was received a warm welcome at the airport and were seen dancing on Dwayne Bravo's song Champion while walking in as they showed off their medals and the Nations Cup trophy. They were all smiles and were cheering and hooting as they celebrated their landing back home with a new accomplishment in their name.

The netizens congratulated the team as they reacted to the video. A comment on the video read, "Well deserved, Our girls not coming slow!". Another one wrote, "Well done girls you make Indian proud". The girls made the entire nations proud and Hockey India has reportedly announced that each team member will be receiving a cash reward of Rs 2 lakhs owing to their victory.

In a nail-biting final match played in Valencia, Spain, India won against Spain on December 17 and the only goal of the match was scored by Gurjit Kaur. The team headed by Savita Punia now ranks eighth in world ranking of women's hockey. The team is now promoted to 2023-24 FIH Hockey Women's Pro League. The team had a fulfilling 2022 and is now looking forward to competing in Asian Games 2022 that will be held in the coming year.
