Sangita Kumari scored twice – one in the 55th and 58th minutes – soon after Ritu had opened the score board in the 45th minute, after a goalless first half. The two led India winning the bronze-medal play-off.
While the Indians were looking for counter opportunities from the very beginning, the Koreans made several penalty corners but failed to stand against the Indian defence mechanism.
