The inauguration of India's first all-girl Sainik School in Vrindavan by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is a historic moment for women's empowerment. The Samvid Gurukulam Girls Sainik School, with a student strength of nearly 870, is a classic example of the government's strong commitment to inclusivity and quality education. A milestone in Women's Empowerment

With a formidable strength of nearly 870 students, this school is part of the initiative to establish 100 new Sainik schools across the country in collaboration with NGOs, private entities, and state government schools. The Defence Ministry's statement revealed that 42 such schools are already in operation. Affiliated with CBSE, the Samvid Gurukulam Girls Sainik School aims to provide quality education and training under the tutelage of experienced ex-servicemen.

Visionary Leadership and Women's Rightful Place

Addressing the gathering, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh applauded the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for recognizing and asserting the rightful place of women in the armed forces. Singh emphasized that women, like their male counterparts, have the right to protect the nation. He termed the approval of girls' admission to Sainik Schools as a golden moment in the history of women's empowerment, noting that women are not only flying fighter jets but also securing borders.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, present at the inauguration ceremony, underscored the importance of empowering women, their dignity, and self-reliance. He expressed that a strong society is unattainable without women's empowerment and called for collective efforts to break free from conservative mindsets. Adityanath reminisced about his initiative to enrol girl students at Sainik School, Lucknow, in 2018 and commended the Defence Minister's approval for the admission of girl children to Sainik Schools.
