Ila Arun's Potential Underutilised: Ishitta Arun
Ishitta Arun reportedly said that her mother's command over various languages and her acting skills are really great. However, it is only now that her skills are getting justice. She said that she would joke about how her mother would always play roles like prostitute, weaver, or servant in movies. However, she thinks that OTT has given her a better platform to utilise her talent to a much more extent.
On reasons why her mother was offered such roles in movies, Ishitta Arun says that it might have been because of her different looks, her folk attires, dark skin, and long hair. She looked different from female actors her age and the industry during that time might have been biased because of that. She urged filmmakers to offer versatile and good roles to her mother and utilise her talent while she's still active in the industry.
Ila Arun will next be seen in the third installment of Sushmita Sen's hit web series Aarya. Ishitta Arun has always been very candid about her experiences and thoughts. She has earlier talked about motherhood, postpartum depression, and the downside of being a new mother.
