IAS Couple Tina Dabi, Pradeep Gawande Welcome First Child

Tina Dabi, the Indian Administrative Services topper of 2015, welcomed her first child with husband and fellow IAS officer Pradeep Gawande on September 15. They are blessed with a baby boy.

The IAS couple met during the COVID-19 pandemic when they were tasked with ensuring supplies. The couple tied the knot on April 22 last year.

IAS Tina Dabi Welcomes First Child

Tina Dabi, an officer of the Rajasthan Cadre 2016, was last posted as District Magistrate in Jaisalmer. On July 14, this year, she announced that she was taking a break from work through a post on Instagram. She expressed how blessed she was to have had the opportunity to serve the wonderful district of Jaisalmer. She posted a series of pictures tracing her one-year journey as District Magistrate in Jaisalmar.

Earlier, she was posted in Jaipur as Joint Secretary of Finance (Tax) to the Rajasthan government.

Tina Dabi became the first person from the Dalit community to top the esteemed civil service examination in 2015 in her first attempt. She graduated from Delhi Sreeram College.

Wedding In April 2022

Her spouse, Pradeep Gawande, is an officer of the 2013 batch. He hails from Latur, Maharashtra. He had completed his MBBS at Ghati Hospital in Aurangabad, cleared UPSC exams in 2012, and is now serving as an IAS officer of the Rajasthan Cadre.

She announced her wedding to Pradeep Gawande on social media last year. The couple announced the news of their wedding on their respective Instagram handles.

In her wedding announcement post on Instagram, Dabi wrote, "I’m wearing the smile that you, Pradeep Gawande, gave me. On the other hand, Gawande captioned his wedding announcement post, "Together is my favourite place to be."

The couple share an age gap of 13 years: Pradeep Gawande is 41 years old and Tina Dabi is 28. Tina Dabi is very active on social media and has a whopping 1.6 million followers on her Instagram handle.

Tina Dabi earlier made headlines for her interfaith wedding with IAS officer Athar Khan in 2015. However, the couple parted ways three years later.
