IAS officer and senior civil servant from Punjab, Rakhee Gupta recently released a video of her devotional song titled ‘Main Toh Ratungi Radha Naam’ on YouTube. This four and half minute long bhajan on Lord Krishna and Radha was uploaded by the Times Music Group and composed by Gaurav Dev and Kartik Dev. Within a few hours, the song has gone viral on social media.

Gupta, 47, who is currently serving as the resident commissioner of Punjab in New Delhi told Print India that, “This was just part of my passion and hobby. Singing has long been a childhood hobby of mine. I performed in school choirs and family gatherings all the time.”
The video is shot in the town of Vrindavan, one of the most famous pilgrimage sites in Uttar Pradesh and also the town where Lord Krishna was born, as per Hindu mythology. The video is full of lush green landscapes and local emples. The description in the video says the song is dedicated to Gupta’s mother, Ms Meena Gupta. The officer also added that the video was planned last year but got postponed because of the pandemic.

Rakhee Gupta completed her graduation from Lady Shri Ram College and Delhi School of Economics. She further went ahead to pursue a master's from National Defence College in 2017. In 2012, she was honoured with the Stree Shakti Puraskar, an annual award given by the Ministry of Women and Child Development for encouraging women to start working in the public sector.
