When Bollywood’s leading female stars -- Anushka Sharma, Vidya Balan, Radhika Apte, Alia Bhatt and Sonam Kapoor -- came together for a roundtable with Rajeev Masand for a TV channel interview, it promised to be an explosive affair. But little did anyone know that it would lead to some shocking revelations.
Neerja actress, Sonam Kapoor, revealed the trauma she had undergone when she was molested as a child.
Sonam Kapoor confessed, “I know, I have been molested when I was younger. And it was very traumatising.” Sonam has always been brutally honest and bold with her words, which has landed her in many controversies in the past. Sonam made the statement when all the actresses were sharing their personal experiences on the chat show.

After Sonam’s comment, Vidya (who most recently acted in Kahaani 2, also based on child sexual assault), rallied on to support Sonam, “It is not her fault and that is the biggest thing a victim deals with.”
Anushka (who had two massive hits this year – Sultan and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil) told us how her mother was always worried about her when she was a child. “My mother used to keep asking me really strange questions when I was a kid, like ‘were you touched inappropriately in any way’ and I used to think something is wrong with my mother ‘cos I was a kid and I don’t know why she was asking me that,” she said. As a child she cared less about the issue but now it all makes sense to her.
