In Hyderabad, a cop has been suspended for allegedly misbehaving with a woman. The police officer in question, K Chander Kumar, is a Special Branch inspector of Hyderabad Commissionerate. A woman has complained that Kumar allegedly sent her abusive messages when she didn't respond to his constant calls on WhatsApp.
According to a report in Times of India, Kumar had recently joined the Special Branch and was assigned with East Zone of the Commissionerate. A woman in her 40s, who works at the municipal department of Warangal, has filed a complaint against him, alleging that he has been harassing her.
The inspector reportedly came to know the complainant in 2011 and had a cordial relationship with her while she was working in the city. Recently, when she started avoiding him, Kumar allegedly started continuously video calling her on Whatsapp. He also reportedly sent abusive messages to her when she did not respond, said a police official.
