American tennis ace Serena Williams won the Sportswoman of the Year Award at the Laureus Awards on Wednesday (Feb 28). The honour comes in the wake of her winning last year's Australian Open. With this, the 36-year-old is a winner of 23 Grand Slams.
While that’s all the surprise this ace tennis player was expecting while on her way to the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, California, next week, husband Alexis Ohanian did something very special. He set up four billboards of her and their five-month-old daughter, terming the tennis icon as the “Greatest Momma Of All Time”. The billboards were posted on the I-10 highway in Palm Springs, California.
These just went up on alongside I-10 into Palm Springs. @OlympiaOhanian & I wanted to welcome her back to tennis. Designed them myself, with some help from Jr.#GMOAT pic.twitter.com/zRcMmxhgB5

Serena, who gave birth to a baby girl in September last year, is making a comeback to tennis. To celebrate that joy with daughter Alexis Olympia, the Reddit co-founder is doing every bit possible to encourage Serena.
In the Indian Wells Tennis Garden highway, near which Serena will compete at next month’s BNP Paribas Open, this is possibly the sweetest surprise for her
“Literally am crying,” Williams replied on Instagram. “This is so sweet. I love you.”

Serena, now ranked 22 in the world, is eyeing one more Grand Slam title to equal Margaret Court’s all-time record. She is now the most decorated female Laureus Award winner with five Laureus statuettes as well. Serena is the second on the list of most major wins with 23 singles titles — the most recent of which came at the 2017 Australian Open when she was pregnant.
