Supermoon 2021 will coincide with the Lunar Eclipse and Blood Moon on May 26, coming together for an extraordinary celestial phenomenon. The 'supercelestial' event is being dubbed a Super Flower Blood Moon, for all its attributes.
The supermoon, named for its large visual appearance, occurs when the moon's orbit is closest to Earth at the time that it is a new or full moon. And though the supermoon is not too rare, it is the first time in six years that it will coincide with a total lunar eclipse. This total lunar eclipse is also the first one since 2019.
A total lunar eclipse occurs when Earth comes between the sun and a full moon in a straight line. With the Earth covering the sunlight's path, the moon appears a dark, reddish shade thereby giving rise to the blood moon phenomenon. π Watch the total lunar eclipse & supermoon! π

The lunar eclipse on the other hand will be visible in India between 3:15 PM and 6:23 PM on Wednesday. The total lunar eclipse, experts say, will last approximately 15 minutes. Catch it between 4:40 PM and 5:00 PM. Looking through binoculars or a telescope will give a clearer image.
