Former Model Is White House's New Communications Director

Hope Hicks has been named the White House Communications director. She is the third person to hold the position since President Donald Trump’s inauguration.

Known as 'Trump whisperer'

The 28-year-old is one of the President’s most trusted advisers. She is known internally as the “Trump whisperer” and is treated like an extended family member.

Hicks worked in public relations and fashion before joining Trump’s 2016 campaign. She joined Ivanka Trump in 2014 to work on the clothing line

The While House communications department has had a number of sharpies. Anthony Scaramucci was appointed as communications director. He was appointed to replace Mike Dubke, who had resigned after just three months, saying that his reasons were personal.

However, Scaramucci was fired only 10 days after he was appointed. White House chief John Kelly fired him after he uttered profanities against Trump advisers Steve Bannon and Reince Priebus. Press secretary Sean Spicer also resigned when Scaramucci was appointed. He said that he opposed Scaramucci as a choice and was certain that he would cause uncertainty in the White House.

Hicks is a former Ralph Lauren fashion model, who graduated from Southern Methodist University.

Not active on social media

She has been described as “untouchable” by White House insiders. She is not active on social media. She has only tweeted three times and has not conducted television interviews.

Hicks will work closely with Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the White House Press Secretary on the White House's media strategy.

 “She’s always on the phone talking to the reporters, trying to get the reporters to straighten out their dishonest stories. Hicks is a “tremendously talented person", said Trump after announcing that she would permanently be the communications director.
