Haryana state government has informed that physical classes for senior school children will resume from next week. The Directorate School Education said in a circular that it has been decided that students of Classes 10 and 12 will be allowed to attend their government or private schools from December 14. The classes will be of three hours daily-between 10 am to 1 pm. The circular further added that classes for Grades 9 and 11 will begin from December 21.
Negative Report For COVID Mandatory
COVID-19 negative report has been made a mandatory for attending the physical classes after they restart. The government notice reads that the students will have to produce medical certificates not older than 72 hours to attend classes.

The Status Of Classes So Far
The Central government had banned the physical classes in March to prevent the spread of the coronavirus among students. School and college students have been taking online classes since then. A few weeks ago, the Centre allowed states to decide if they wanted to resume physical classes. However, because of a surge in COVID-19 cases in the recent festive reason, most states exercised caution.
Medical Colleges Had Reopened On December 7
Medical colleges in the state were reopened on – 7th December 2020. The colleges were shut for about six months due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Directorate of Medical Education and Research had earlier issued a notification regarding the reopening of the medical colleges in Haryana. Medical students were also asked to carry their COVID-19 negative report not older than 72 hours before they report to colleges. The department also asked the concerned colleges to help the students get the medical test.
Status Of The Virus In Haryana
According to a report, 26 people succumbed to the COVID-19 infection in Haryana on Wednesday. The total death toll was 2,650 on Wednesday. 1,400 fresh cases were incurred which pushed the state's infection tally to 2,48,079.

The state health department's daily bulletin said that the fatalities included eight from Faridabad, five from Hisar and three each from Gurugram and Jhajjar.
The bulletin also stated that Haryana has an active coronavirus case count of 11,733 and a recovery rate of 94.20%.
