India is evidently one of the worst-hit countries by the second wave of the virus. Our country has reportedly registered the highest ever spike recorded with new COVID-19 positive cases of 2,17,353 on April 16. Despite vaccines being rolled out in all parts of the country, cases still continue to rise rapidly. Many states have also enforced lockdowns and curfews to reduce the spike. The CBSE board exams for class 10 and 12 students also stand cancelled and postponed as of now.
Besides politician Harsimrat Kaur Badal, other two senior politicians Digvijaya Singh and Randeep Singh Surejwala from the Congress party have also tested positive for the virus recently.
