Harmanpreet Kaur Replaces Mithali Raj As T20 Captain

Harmanpreet Kaur is the new captain of the Indian women's T20 team, replacing veteran Mithali Raj. The team is gearing up for the upcoming Asia Cup and West Indies series in which Mithali Raj will play in the T20 squad led by Harmanpreet. The decision was announced on Saturday.

The BCCI is ready to host the home series against the West Indies, which starts from November 10 and Asia Cup to be played in Thailand from November 27. The West Indies tour comprising three ODIs and as many T20 Internationals is going to be held in Vijaywada.

Mithali Raj, who was the captain in the team's last international T20 campaign - the World T20 played at home -- is still retaining her ODI captaincy.
