Half-Naked Woman Taken To Police Station: A video of a young woman being assaulted by police officers has gone viral. According to reports, the video was shot by locals in Madhya Pradesh's Rewa district's Shahpur area. The girl in the video was caught by police with a man on Tuesday night.

The video shows the woman and the man in compromising state, they both were reportedly arrested in half-dressed state from a bus. A home guard reportedly got to know about the persons in bus and went to check the scene. The video shows a police officer passing casteist remarks at the woman and abusing her. The persons behind the camera were heard hurling abuses at the bus driver and the man.
The woman was seen requesting the officer to allow to her wear her clothes but the officer and the ,ocals refused. She is then seen forced into a police vehicle in a half-naked state. According to reports, an investigation has been initiated in the case. The Superintendent of Police Rakesh Singh said, "The woman has been handed over to family members. A probe has been ordered to find out the truth."

As per a report of June 22, a woman was found dead in Addagudur Police Station of Telangana's Yadadari-Bhuvanagiri district. The woman identified as Mariyamma who used to work as a house help at local priest's home was allegedly beaten up by police and succumbed to death. However, the police officers claimed that the woman died of cardiac arrest.
Nagarigari Preetham, the state president of Congress Scheduled Caste Cell, alleged, “The police tortured her on June 17 night and on the next day (June 18), owing to the beatings she fell unconscious and died in the police station itself."
Further investigations are underway in the case.
