Actor and entrepreneur Gwyneth Paltrow opened up about her personal experience with coronavirus. She revealed through a new post on her Goop website that she ‘had COVID-19 early on, and it left me with some long-tail fatigue and brain fog.’ After getting tests done in January, she turned to medicine practitioner Dr. Will Cole. Paltrow stated wrote that, “After he saw all my labs, he explained that this was a case where the road to healing was going to be longer than usual."
Most coronavirus patients recover within two weeks, and suffer from a fever, cough and losing their sense of smell or taste for a few days. For people suffering from ‘long COVID-19’ like Paltrow, the symptoms can persist for weeks on end and include chronic tiredness, breathlessness, insomnia, headaches, etc.
Paltrow has been focusing on what she puts into her body after recovering from the virus. She has begun adhering to a flexible keto and plant-based diet, along with refraining from alcohol and sugar. Paltrow also shared that she’s now taking a series of supplements including Butyrate in order to have a healthier gut.
"Everything I'm doing feels good, like a gift to my body. I have energy, I'm working out in the mornings, and I'm doing an infrared sauna as often as I can, all in service of healing," Paltrow wrote.
