Faridabad daughter saves father's life unwittingly: Three gunmen looting a shop in the Haryana city decided to spare the owner's life after his young daughter walked onto the scene, reports said Saturday.

The looting incident occurred June 9 at a money transfer shop in Sanjay Colony as per Indian Express. As per police, "They said their plan was actually to fire at the shopkeeper and loot his store, but as soon as they entered the shop, a small girl came in, calling him papa."
Seeing the child, the men reportedly changed their minds, waited for her to leave and then proceeded to loot the shop.
Four persons have been arrested in connection to the case with police saying they were responsible for over half a dozen cases of loot, theft, and illegal possession of weapons.
They also revealed "they were planning the abduction of a businessman," police said. The four have reportedly been remanded to three-day police custody.
Faridabad, the largest city in Haryana, is known for its high levels of crime and ranks among the top unsafe cities for women in India. In the previous decade, the state has seen a 145 percent jump in the number of rapes. More on crime rate data here.
