A woman was robbed at gunpoint in Indianapolis, United States after leaving work. Bizarrely, the man who robbed her then messaged her on social media and told her she was "too pretty to rob" and asked her out.
As per reports, the accused man approached Amber Beraun and pointed a gun as she was making her way to the mailbox. After robbing her, he demanded that she would connect with him on social media and later asked her out.
According to court documents, the accused identified as Damien Boyce allegedly demanded that Amber Beraun let him into her house. Instead of complying, she handed him 100 dollars (8,200 rupees). However, Boyce did not leave immediately after receiving the money. He proceeded to point his gun at her once again and demand that she connect with him on Facebook.
Beraun expressed that the incident not only involved an attempted robbery of her belongings but also robbed her of her sense of safety within her own home.
In her statement, Beraun expressed that, as a young woman, the thought of such incidents always lingers in one's mind, yet it feels improbable to experience them personally. She shared that even now, she struggles to fully comprehend the events that unfolded last month.
