Gujarat principal suicide: In a tragic incident, a woman in Gujarat's Chhota Udepur district was found hanging at a government school she was the principal of, reports said Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Bhavnaben Damor. She was 34 years old, as per PTI.
She allegedly died by suicide by hanging herself from the window railings at her school on the morning of June 30, police said.
"She committed suicide by hanging herself from the rod of the toilet's window located inside the school's storeroom," they said.

As per reports, a suicide note was recovered in the possession of Damor. A reason for the alleged suicide has not been ascertained yet.
Police said Damor lived with her husband in Nasvadi. He as well as the school teachers are being questioned in connection to the case. Damor's parents have also been informed. Her body has been sent for post-mortem. Investigations are underway.
In May, another Gujarat woman, along with her two sons, had allegedly died by suicide after her husband died of COVID-19. Reports said as per prelim investigations, the trio had consumed pesticide only hours following the deceased's last rites.
This week, another death of a male principal of a Bengaluru government college came to light. As per TOI, the 59-year-old was found hanging at his old residence.
