Gujarat board exams postponed: In view of the deadly national surge of COVID-19 cases, the Gujarat and Odisha governments have taken a call to reconsider the state board examinations for students of classes 10 and 12.
The announcement comes in the wake of a rising coronavirus tally in India, which has prompted the central board (CBSE) and other state education boards (such as in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana) to reconsider examinations. Details on exam postponements here.

Odisha Board Exams: What You Should Know
In Odisha, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has meanwhile ordered suspension of exams for classes 10 and 12. Schools have been directed to promote students of classes 9 and 11 without tests.

As per data on April 15 till 8 am, India recorded 14,71,877 active coronavirus cases with a total count of 1,73,123 deaths. Maharashtra is leading the national tally with 58,952 cases, followed by Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Chhattisgarh and Karnataka.
