Margaret Nolan, a celebrated English actor, and model passed away recently, at the age of 76. Nolan is most famous for her appearance as the ‘gold-painted model’ in the 1964 James Bond movie Goldfinger’s title sequence. She also played a notable role in the Beatles’ movie A Hard Day’s Night (1964).
As per Variety, Nolan’s son, Oscar Deeks, a filmmaker, confirmed the news of his mother’s demise. Nolan is survived by one more son, Luke O’Sullivan.

Goldfinger Model Margaret Nolan Passes Away
Director Edgar Wright, who cast Nolan in a small role in his upcoming directorial, Last Night In Soho, first announced the news of the actress’ demise. He tweeted, “It's my sad duty to report that actress and artist, the magnificent Margaret Nolan has passed away. She was the middle of Venn diagram of everything cool in the '60s; having appeared with the Beatles, been beyond iconic in Bond and been part of the Carry On cast too.”

Furthermore, he went on to write a heart-warming tribute for the late actress: “I worked with her last year as she plays a small role in Last Night In Soho. She was so funny, sharp, and as you can imagine, full of the most amazing stories. I am so glad I got to know her. My heart goes out to her family and all that loved her. She will be much missed.”

Remembering Margaret Nolan’s Illustrious Career
Born on October 29, 1943, in Norton Radstock, Somerset, England, Nolan grew up with an English mother and an Irish father in London. As per ANI, she started her showbiz career in the early 1960s as a model and went by the name Vicky Kennedy. However, she reverted to her birth name post starting her acting career. She played the role of James Bond's masseuse Dink in Goldfinger (1964). Despite having a brief role in the movie, Nolan grabbed eyeballs for a particular scene wherein she sported a gold bikini and was painted gold from head to toe.
Additionally, Nolan also essayed the role of Miss. Jones in the Carry On franchise from 1965-74. The actress made her comeback in 2011 with Yvonne Deutschman’s The Power of Three after a long break from acting.
