Adult Woman Arrested For Enrolling In High School

A 29-year-old woman was arrested in New Jersey for allegedly posing as a high school student. The woman, identified as Hyejeong Shin has been charged with using a fake identification document to enrol in New Brunswick High School.

She managed to attend school for four days before the staff discovered her age.

Delhi HC Says Woman Entitled To Termination Of Pregnancy In Rape Cases

The Delhi High Court observed that denying a woman the right to medical termination of pregnancy in sexual assault cases and imposing motherhood on her would amount to "denying her the human right to live with dignity".

Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma emphasised that a woman has the right to make reproductive choices regarding her bodily integrity and autonomy. Judge Sharma permitted a 14-year-old minor rape survivor to undergo medical termination of pregnancy. She was 25 weeks pregnant when produced before the court.

US Deputy Secretary Says Women Essential For Sustainable Growth

Deputy Secretary of the US Department of State Wendy Sherman addressed the US-India Alliance for women's economic empowerment Shatter Summit on Thursday, January 26.

Indian Mother-Daughter Dou's Rangoli Enters Singapore Book Of Records

An Indian mother and daughter team in Singapore made it to the Singapore Book of Records by creating a 6 by 6-metre rangoli artwork.

The mother-daughter duo used 26,000 ice cream sticks and used their rangoli to depict notable Tamil scholar-poets.

Sudha Ravi, who is already listed in the record book for creating a 3,200 sq feet rangoli (approx 300 sq metre), presented the rangoli along with her daughter Rakshita.

The rangoli took a month to create.
