In a tragic incident, a 17-year-old girl was allegedly killed by her parents because she refused to break her FD and give the money to them. Her body was found hanging in her room on January 13. As per reports, the girl, identified as Khushi Kumari lived in Jharkhand's Ramgarh district. She had around six lakh rupees in her fixed deposit account which was about to mature. But her parents asked for the money from her. And the girl refused.
When Khsushi's body was found hanging in her room, her brother filed an FIR against the parents. He alleged that his father and stepmother killed his sister and hanged her body because she denied giving them the money. In fact, the villagers demonstrated outside the police station to speed up the arrest of the couple.
Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Birendra Kumar Chaudhary said police arrested Sunil Mahto and his wife Punam Devi for the suspicious conditions in which the death happened.

A 15-year-old and 10th-grade student of Kota killed herself in suspicious circumstances. As per reports, she died by suicide after her father scolded her for using his phone. He also pressured her to focus on her studies. The incident happened in the Bajrang Nagar area under the Borekheda police station in Kota, Rajasthan, on Saturday night.
Distraught by the reprimand, Kripanshi reportedly locked herself in her room. The family's concern deepened when, around 8 pm, calls for dinner went unanswered. Alarmed by the silence, family members decided to investigate, ultimately breaking open the door to discover the lifeless body of Kripanshi.
The SHO said a case has been registered under Section 174 of the CrPc, which allows inquest reports in cases where a person has died by suicide, was killed by an animal, was in an accident, or died under suspicious conditions.
