Girl Filmed In SAI Hostel Bathroom, Accused Woman Arrested

A female athlete pursuing a diploma in coaching was allegedly filmed inside a ladies' bathroom by a fellow student at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) hostel in Bangalore. This led to the authorities logging an FIR against the accused and suspending her from the institute on Thursday.

An internal committee, headed by a director-level officer, has been formed to inquire into the alleged incident and submit a report to the headquarters at the earliest.

Girl Filmed In SAI Hostel Bathroom

The issue was reported to the police on March 29, and an FIR was registered against the accused for engaging in an indecent act. The authorities of SAI have also suspended the accused and directed her to vacate the hostel by March 30.

The statement released by SAI read, "The incident of a diploma trainee who was allegedly filmed by a fellow student in the girls bathroom at the SAI Diploma Girls Hostel in Mallathahalli, Bangalore, on March 28 has been brought to our notice."

The notice also stated that an internal committee has been formed and directed to investigate the matter and issue a report at the earliest. The institute has also helped the survivor lodge a police complaint.

As of now, it has been learned that there was rivalry between the two girls, and they weren’t on speaking terms with each other. The accused girl had filmed the video to harass the survivor.

Chandigarh Uni Private Videos Leaked

This is not the first time such an incident has taken place. In September 2022, students at Chandigarh University staged a massive protest over the leaked video of a girl’s hostel bathroom, which was shot by a fellow student.

Apparently, the accused girl leaked 60 videos of 60 girls while they were taking baths in the hostel bathroom. The accused had shared these videos with a man in Shimla, who uploaded them on the internet. The accused girl, who was a first-year postgraduate student, was arrested.

Bangalore Student Held For Installing Secret Cam

In November 2022, a college student in Bangalore was caught red-handed while trying to install a secret camera in the women’s bathroom. The accused student was arrested by the city police. The accused was identified as Shubham Azad, a BBA final-year student at a private college in Hosakerehalli, Bangalore.

After arresting him, the police discovered that he was a habitual offender. Initial investigations revealed that the accused had shot over 2,000 videos of female students.
