Ghaziabad minor raped: The 12-year-old boy allegedly sexually assaulted a five-year-old girl on October 26 in Ghaziabad city of Uttar Pradesh, following which he was produced before the Juvenile Justice Board on October 27. The board has sent the boy to an observation home.
An observation home, under section 47 of the Juvenile Justice (care and protection of children) Act, 2015, is a home where the child who has allegedly come in conflict with the law is temporarily kept.
The five-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by her tuition teacher's son, who lived in the same building. The girl's parents filed a first-person report (FIR), following which the boy was detained.
According to the police officers investigating the case, the girl is a UKG student. She, along with her brother, used to take tuitions from the woman, also their neighbour. Due to a family function, the girl's brother didn't accompany her for tuition on October 26.
On the same day, the tutor's son allegedly sexually assaulted her. The girl returned home, complaining that she was feeling unwell and was taken to a private hospital, from where she was referred to MMG Hospital.
The doctors there suspected that the minor had been sexually assaulted and when the parents asked the survivor of the same, she narrated what had happened. After that, a complaint was registered.
In their complaint, the parents of the survivor have also alleged that the accused's family had allegedly asked them to visit a doctor known to them. When they denied doing so, the boy's parents had alleged;y threatened them with dire consequences.
According to SHO Yogendra Malik, an FIR has been filed for rape at Vijay Nagar police station. The matter will also be forwarded to the Children Welfare Committee.

In Bhopal, a six-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her tuition teacher's 19-year-old brother, while the teacher was away and had asked her sister to take the classes. After the incident, which took place on September 28, the survivor plead to her parents, "Don't ever send me to tuition again." The accused was booked under the Protection of Children against Sexual Offences POCSO Act and Section 376 and 377 of the Indian Penal Code which deals with rape.
A teacher was arrested on accusations of rape of a minor girl, who used to come to his house for the tuition at Akkayyapalem, the busiest locality in Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. A case was registered against the tutor under POCSO Act on February 27, 2020.
