Gehana Vasisth Forced Struggling Actors Into Porn Films : New Chargesheet

Gehana Vasisth Pornography Case: Model and Actor Vandana Tiwari, alias Gehana Vasisth, along with four others now face another charge of forcing struggling actors into making porn movies. The property cell of the Mumbai crime branch filed another charge sheet against the accused in the pornography case, which also involved businessman Raj Kundra, who is married to actor Shilpa Shetty.

There are currently four pornography cases the Mumbai crime branch is probing into. This is the second case of pornography registered and it is a fresh charge sheet filed. along with the four, another case of pornography is being probed by the Lonavla Police.

In the 500 page charge sheet, Gehana Vasisth has been charged along with film producers Abhijit Bomble, Baburao Prahlad alias Ajay Shrimant, Prince Kumar alias Kashyap, and Arvindkumar Srivastav alias Yash Thakur.

According to the TOI report, the police said that while Vasisth has received interim relief from the Supreme Court, her associated Bomble and Shrimant had been arrested. Two others involved in the case- Prince Kumar Kashyap and Yash Thakur have reportedly been shown as 'absconding accused'. The accused have been charged under the sections of the Indian Penal Code that pertain to the sale of obscene books, obscene acts, outraging the modesty of a woman, cheating, and section under the Information and Technology Act.

Last month, a supplementary charge sheet was filed by the police against Raj Kundra and his company's IT head Ryan Thorpe. This was the first case of pornography registered. The two were accused in connection to the production and distribution of pornographic content on his mobile apps.

The new charge sheet comes following a complaint filed by a model from Madhya Pradesh. She stated that under the pretext of giving her a break in films, Bomble, Shrimant, Vasisth and later Kashyap, took her to bungalows on multiple occasions and forced her to feature in the porn movies. She said that she was paid 10-15,000 rupees per shoot. When she refused, they assured her edited versions of the films would be uploaded, however, the videos were later uploaded on three apps without any editing.

Who is Gehana Vasisth

Vasisth, who claims to have worked in more than 80 advertisements, is best known for her role in the web series Gandi Baat and daily soap Behenein. She was arrest by Mumbai police in February with eight others from Madh Island, where many struggling actors were allegedly being lured into pornographic work on the pretext of acting jobs.

After Kundra's arrest in the porn app case, Vasisth had come forward in his support, saying that he was being framed that the videos in question could be called erotica, not porn. Read more about Gehana Vasisth here.
