Gabby Petito Memorial: After the police discovered the apparent dead body of Youtube Gabby Petito, a makeshift memorial of stones arranged in shape of a cross was made at the spot in Wyoming, as per reports.
Days after reports of her being missing, the police found the 22-year-old woman's dead body in the Spread Creek Dispersed Camping Area in Bridger-Teton National Forest. Some YouTubers discovered a white 2012 Ford Transit van which was used by Petito and her boyfriend Brian Launderie.
The autopsy report of the body is scheduled to be out on Tuesday which will confirm the identity of the deceased. The memorial cross was discovered by many media outlets at the spot where the dead body was found.
Fox 13 reporter Sydney Glenn wrote in a tweet, "We have found what appears to be a memorial in the area where law enforcement searched for and eventually found the remains of who law enforcement believes to be #GabbyPetito.” A picture of the cross was also attached with the tweet.
As per reports, the investigators in the Gabby Petito case had locked down the said area and there were paint marks all around the spot which are said to be the measurements from a Crime Scene Investigation team.
The body was recovered on Monday while the search is still on for Petito's boyfriend Laundrie. He has been named as the "person of interest" after Petito went missing. The couple were reportedly on a cross-country trip.
The Youtuber went missing on September 11 as per reports. Her boyfriend had returned to his home in Florida without her about 10 days ago. The investigation officers said that they have finished their search after visiting the the Florida home of Laundrie's parents.
Laundrie is reported to go missing last week. He had came home in the van without Gabby Petito.
