Brian Laundrie's Attorney Says Vlogger Died By Suicide

Could Brian Laundrie's notebook reveal details about the deaths of the vlogger and his girlfriend Gabby Petito? The case that made global headlines this year, involving the American influencer couple, seemingly appeared to near its end with the discovery of Laundrie's body on October 20, weeks after Petito's body was found.

While 22-year-old Petito's autopsy showed death by strangulation, the Laundrie family attorney confirmed he died by suicide. Parents of 23-year-old Laundrie were informed that the cause of his death was a "gunshot wound to the head," the attorney told CNN November 23.

Petito's family has refrained from making a statement on the revelations from Laundrie's autopsy results since a probe into their daughter's death is ongoing.

Petito and Laundrie, engaged to be married, set off on a cross-country trip in July 2021, covering multiple national parks. They were both vloggers, documenting their trip on their social media channel Nomadic Statik. Petito reportedly disappeared mid-trip in August around Wyoming and Laundrie returned home to Florida alone on September 1. Investigators named Laundrie a person of interest in the Petito case.

Two weeks later, Laundrie went missing too, after claiming to have left for another trip. Multiple reports had emerged by this time of the couple spotted engaging in a public fight, police apprehending them and Petito claiming to have mental health disturbances.
