French athlete Alice Finot participated in the 3000m steeplechase event's final. She may not have won the race or any medal, but she managed to break the European record for the event. Soon after her record-breaking performance, she popped a pin and asked the 'loveliest question' to her then-boyfriend and now fiancé right after the race.

Finot's First move for Proposal stans everyone

Finot and her boyfriend, Bruno Martinez, who is also a triathlete from Spain, have been together for nine years as they begin their happily ever after. The video of Finot soon went viral on the internet with her walking towards the stands after finishing the race. Upon reaching, she pulled out a pin with a message and kneeled on one knee to propose to her boyfriend with the enthusiastic and supportive crowd cheering for the couple at the moment.

"I don't like doing things the same way as everyone else. Since he hadn't done it yet, I thought that maybe it was up to me," she added.

However, Finot was not the only athlete to get engaged during the Games, as Chinese badminton player Huang Ya Qiong said yes to a wedding proposal by Li Yuchen, another member of China's badminton team, after winning gold in badminton's mixed doubles event.
