This budget is one of its kind as it is the state's first paperless budget, and also the third budget of the Congress-led government. "The state budget 2021-22 will be paperless this time. And the legislators will be provided soft copies of the budget speech and other related documents in tablets instead of hard copies," said a senior official from the states financial department.
Besides this, CM Ashok Gehlot also announced that his government will introduce a universal health care scheme for which ₹3,500 crores will be allocated. New nursing colleges will also be established in 25 districts. A 'Ghar Ghar Aushadi Yojana' will also be introduced for encouraging the use of herbs such as tulsi and giloy in households.
