Four students have been detained for allegedly harassing a female teacher at a school in Meerut. Two videos of the students passing lewd comments at the teacher went viral on social media.
The four students, including one female student study at a school in Radhna Inayatpur village under the Kithaur police station area in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh.
The 27-year-old teacher alleged in a written complaint that some students from class 12 were harassing her for a long time.

Four Students Harass Teacher
Station House Officer (SHO) of the Kithaur police station Arvind Mohan Sharma said, “It is alleged that the students were making objectionable statements against the teacher. “
Sharma added that the teacher confronted them on several occasions but the students continued to harass her.
The teacher alleged the “limit was crossed” on June 24 when her students said “I love you” to her inside the school premises and recorded a video of it.
In the clip, the students can be heard saying “I love you” to the teacher and addressing her as “jaan”.
The teacher also alleged that the students made “a video of them using profanities against me inside the classroom”. The video was went viral on social media.
According to a police officer, the teacher informed the police that she had lodged a complaint with the parents of the students but they did not take any action.
Police officer Sharma said a case was registered against the four students, who are aged around 16. Reportedly, four students were taken into custody and presented before the Juvenile Justice Board.
Circle Officer, Kithore, Suchita Singh said a case was registered under Section 354 (assault or criminal force to a woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and Section 500 (defamation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

In October 2021, a 19-year-old man was arrested in connection to a case of harassment and stalking of school students and teachers in Delhi. The accused, identified as Mahavir, a student of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) at their Kharagpur branch allegedly harassed over 50 girls.
The accused reportedly used a fake caller ID to contact the girls and teachers and allegedly stalked them.
