Delhi Man, Addicted To Porn, Forces Wife To Dress Like Pornstars: Cops

In Delhi, a man has been implicated for purportedly coercing his 30-year-old wife into watching pornography and imitating the attire of adult film performers, as stated by the police on Wednesday.

Police have reported that a man is facing charges for allegedly compelling his 30-year-old wife to watch pornography and mimic the attire of adult film performers. The wife, in her complaint, revealed that her husband has a porn addiction. 

The couple tied the knot in 2020. Additionally, the woman accused her husband and his family of making dowry demands and subjecting her to mental and physical harassment, according to a senior police officer.

Delhi Man Forces Wife To Dress Like Pornstars, Arrested

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) Rohit Meena, a case was registered on Tuesday based on the woman's complaint. The case has been filed under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including 498 A (cruelty by husband or relative), 406 (criminal breach of trust), 377 (unnatural offence), and 34 (common intention), as well as sections of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

Meena mentioned that the investigation is currently in its preliminary phase. The authorities are in the process of recording statements from witnesses and gathering digital and other forms of evidence to support the case and facilitate subsequent actions.

The reported incident of a husband allegedly forcing his wife to watch pornography and imitate adult film performers is deeply disturbing. Shouldn't marriage be a partnership based on love, understanding, and equality? Why is it that some individuals believe they have the right to control or dominate their partner's choices and actions? It is a clear violation of consent, trust, and the dignity of the woman involved. Such actions reflect an unhealthy and disrespectful mindset towards relationships. Marriage should never be a justification for controlling or dominating one's partner. Being married does not grant anyone validation or authority over their spouse's consent or personal choices.

Moreover, the allegations of dowry demands and harassment further highlight the prevalence of harmful practices that degrade the well-being of individuals within marriages. It is essential for law enforcement to thoroughly investigate the case, gather substantial evidence, and ensure that appropriate legal actions are taken to address these serious allegations.
