Flight Attendant's Old TikTok Goes Viral After Tragic Nepal Plane Crash

An old video of a flight attendant aboard the Yeti Airlines plane that crashed in Nepal has recently gone viral on social media. The woman, Oshin Ale Magar, was one among the four cabin crew members who passed away in the crash.

The Yeti Airlines passenger plane with 72 passengers crashed while landing at the newly-opened airport in the city of Pokhara. Five Indians were among those killed as the plane plunged into a deep gorge and caught fire.

Magar was a popular TikToker in Nepal and netizens shared an old video of herself smiling and dancing in a plane, believing it was taken minutes before the deadly crash.

24-year-old Oshin Ale Magar recorded the short video while dancing to a Bollywood song and posing on the aircraft.

The video was shared on Twitter and the caption said, "Live life to the fullest as long as you are alive because death is unexpected. Just sharing TikTok video of Air Hostess Oshin Magar who lost her life in #NepalPlaneCrash today".

Ale's father, Mohan Ale Magar, a retired Indian Army personnel recalled that he had told his daughter "not to go to work on a special day" the day of the accident.

Magar spoke with Republica newspaper, a Nepal daily and revealed that the family was preparing to celebrate the Sankranti festival at home when they learnt about the plane crash. He added that Oshin insisted on celebrating the festival after completing two flights on that day.

Oshin Ale Magar worked with Yeti Airlines for two years. She hailed from Madi in Chitwan and lived in Kathmandu after starting her job.

Magar was the eldest among four siblings and has two sisters and a brother. She studied at Oxford College in Gaindakot and graduated as an air hostess from Sahara Air Hostess Academy in Kathmandu.

She got married two years ago in Pokhara and her husband is currently in the United Kingdom.
