A contingent of female recruits of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) presented a bike show at the Republic Day parade. This battalion of 120 women troops is called the “Women Daredevils CRPF” and they perform stunts on their bikes.
“We have been preparing for the last two years to make a debut in the Republic Day parade. Finally, we got the chance to prove that women are not lagging behind in any walk of life, be it stunts or fighting for the nation," said one of the soldiers of the Women Daredevils CRPF contingent to Firstpost

This all-women contingent was created in 2014 when women were trained in performing difficult individual and group stunts and manoeuvres on Bullet motorcycles, according to Mashable.
For so long as we can remember, we have only seen this kind of daredevilry displayed by men. However, this is the first time we are witnessing an all-women contingent doing so and it sure adds up to the charm of the Republic Day Parade.
It really shows how we are progressing each year with the previous year we had for the first time an all-women contingent march in the parade. That event was highly appreciated by one and all and this year, we have gone one step further in proving the progress with bringing female bikers in the parade.
Last year, the government made many ground-breaking decisions for women when it announced to include women in the combat roles in the Indian Air Force and then in the ground army. With this year, the plan is going to get active with an all-women battalion of 500 personnel to be posted at the Indo-China border by the Indo-Tibet Border Police. This definitely shows the country’s efforts in promoting women in all areas.
