Iran Protest: One More Female Student Killed, Authorities Threatened Fellow Students

Female Student Killed In Iran Protest
Iran's hijab protest day by day is escalating, claiming lives and testing the resilience of women, who participated in the protest. Meanwhile, another incident came to light, in which a female student has been murdered by the Islamic regime in Iran. Negin Abdulmaleki was killed two weeks ago, but the incident was concealed from the media.

The security forces killed Negin Abdulmaleki, a 21-year-old student during protests in Hamedan against the state murder of Mahsa Amini. The deceased was a medical engineering student at the Hamadan University of Technology. Abdulmaleki hailed from Qorveh city in the Sanandaj province of Iran.

Female Student Killed In Iran Protest

A protest against the state murder of Mahsa Amini was observed in Hamedan on Wednesday, October 12, wherein Abdulmaleki reportedly participated in the protest. As per a report of Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Negin Abdulmaleki was gravely injured, when the security forces tried to break up the demonstration. Abdulmaleki was bleeding after baton blows to the head by security forces. She reportedly died after returning to the student dormitory.

In response to Abdulmaleki's death, university security and government authorities threatened fellow students and summoned the deceased's family.

One of the witnesses of the incident and a fellow student in the Hengaw report pointed out that after learning about Negin’s death, University security and authorities told the students and Negin’s family that they should claim Negin died as a result of eating expired canned fish.

Negin Abdulmaleki was reportedly buried in Qorveh on Friday, October 14, amid strong security measures.
Negin Abdulmaleki is not only one, who got killed in the crackdown against protesters. Earlier, Nika Shakarami, the death of 16-year-old marked one of the first deaths of a minor in the violent crackdowns on September 20, 2022.  Abolfazl Adinezadeh, a 17-year-old boy was fired with a shotgun at point-blank range. Asra Panahi, Sarina Esmailzadeh are also few others names who suffered brutality at the hands of security.

The protest after 22-year-old Mahsa Amini’s death, has claimed many lives. Few have gone underreported. Negin Abdulmaleki has been one of it. Iranian authorities and security forces strong retaliations through violent crackdowns and internet restrictions may claim more lives of protesters and children.
