Father Raped Daughter Over A Decade, Booked Under POCSO Act

In a shocking incident in Uttar Pradesh, a 44-year-old father has been accused of raping his daughter for over a decade. The father has been accused by his daughter of raping her with her mother's active consent. The girl also says that her mother even gave her contraceptives.

The girl lives in Chinhat, a region on the outskirts of Lucknow. She told the police that she had accepted her fate. But when her father started sexually abusing her younger sister, she couldn't keep quiet and mustered the courage to speak up. She then approached the police and narrated the entire incident.

Booked Under POCSO Act

The father has been booked under the Protection of Children From Sexual Offences Act (POCSO), 2012. Charges of raping his daughter and abusing his two daughters have been imposed on him. He is currently absconding, and the mother has been arrested for abetting the crime. The two daughters have recorded their statement before a magistrate.

The complainant said that their two brothers (aged 18 and 8 years), the tenant in their house and some of their relatives knew about the actions of her father but no one opposed it. Finally, she mustered enough courage and narrated everything to her principal, who then asked her to contact our NGO- SHO Sachin Singh

When father started abusing his younger daughter, the elder daughter approached an NGO, who rescued the two girls from their home. The elder daughter is now living in her home, whereas, the younger sister, the minor has been sent to a shelter home. SHO Chinhat, Sachin Singh told Gulf News that the father had been booked for rape, causing miscarriage without a woman's consent and criminal intimidation, and also booked under the POCSO Act 8.

The Father Became More Aggressive And Started Writing Sexually Explicit Letters

Incharge of the NGO, Asha Jyoti Kendra, says that the girl was being raped from the tender age of six. “Her mother knew about it all along and used to give her contraceptives and medicines to abort pregnancies. She told me that she had accepted the torture as her destiny but could not tolerate it when her father started molesting her younger sister,” she said. The girl added that recently, her father became too aggressive and also started writing sexually explicit letters.

“The complainant said that their two brothers (aged 18 and 8 years), the tenant in their house and some of their relatives knew about the actions of her father but no one opposed it. Finally, she mustered enough courage and narrated everything to her principal, who then asked her to contact our NGO,” Singh said.

Another similar incident came to light in Gorakhpur, where after beheading his 19-year-old younger daughter on the night of July 26, he buried the head in Urwa area of the district and disclosed that he threw the lower part of the body in Kachna Nulla in Harpurbudhat. On the basis of the information provided by the man, the police recovered the body. During interrogation, the accused accepted that he had been raping his daughter for the last two years. His wife died around 15 years ago. After the marriage of his elder daughter in 2015, he had been living with his younger daughter in his house. When the girl didn't visit her sister's home on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, her elder sister asked her father about it. On this, the father accepted to have killed her.
