A mob attacked Kangana Ranaut's vehicle as the actor entered Punjab from her home state of Himachal Pradesh, the actor has alleged in a series of updates on her social media Friday. "They are saying they are farmers," Ranaut wrote on Instagram, sharing videos of the visuals outside her car, which show people, both women and men, raising slogans and surrounding the vehicle.

Further, the Queen actor states in Instagram stories that the mob has abused her and given her death threats too. "I'm not being able to get out of the car... A lot of people are playing politics on my name today and today's events are the result of that. If there were no police here, there would have been open lynching. Shame on these people."

In subsequent stories, she added an update that she was out of that "sticky situation", thanking Punjab police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). Visuals show her talking to women, appearing to belong to the group surrounding her car, with her window rolled down.

"Love conquers all... everyone warned me against talking to them but I did," she wrote.

Ranaut, who has been in the soup in recent months for her statements on farmers and their protest against the farm laws, claimed in a post earlier this week that she had filed a First Information Report (FIR) against people who issued death threats to her.

"A brother of Bathinda has openly threatened to kill me. I am not afraid of this type of threats... I hope the Punjab government will also take action soon. The country is paramount for me, I am acceptable even if I have to sacrifice for this, but I am neither afraid nor will I ever be afraid, in the interest of the country, I will keep speaking openly against the traitors," she wrote in Hindi.
